Rob McNurlin - All By My Lonesome - Demo

This interesting tape came by way of a large box of demo cassettes that I'd picked up at the local St. Vincents. Rob McNurlin began his career in music in the city of Ashland, KY. Embodying a style that is reminiscent of Woody Guthrie or Bob Dylan, McNurlin does a remarkable job in channeling the styles of both. He is able to cross the line between gospel and country effortlessly, while making stops within the realm of folk and traditional Americana. This tape was released in 1991, a full two years before McNurlin would release his first cd.

Track List:

2. Diamond Joe
3. Talkin' Materialism Blues
4. Railroad Bill
