Keroncong originated and developed in Java with great Portuguese influence using the ukelele and other stringed instruments. It was brought to Malaysia from Java in the 15th century. The artist, Hetty Koes Endang still performs and has numerous recordings available to the public. This specific recording is from 1974 and on the Musica record company.
